Honestly one of the biggest reason many people doubt Blackbeard being the FV is just how fucking weak his crews are compared to the other endgame powerhouse like Admirals, Gorosei or even the HK.
But if Blackbeard stole Imu's power then it's a different story. He can use it to upgrade his crew and elevate them to be the endgame opponents for the SHs.
