It's undeniable that Roger/Rayleigh was more similar to Shanks/Ben and Kid/Killer "Partner" relationship. Oda absolutely ruined Rayleigh for Wings dynamic. Just imagine fucking Prime Rayleigh bickering and arguing around Roger like Z/S used to be doing.

Dorry & Borgy/nekomamushi & inuarashi/Zoro & Sanji and now Gaban and Rayleigh this is how Oda writes these dynamics for the past 25 years.

Also it was obvious that Roger had a wings Oda just has to keep on hamming it in because the fanbase is to obtuse to realize it.
