People constantly slander Kuzan for this on here, I've seen multiple people slander Kuzan this way here lately but do they forget who the Celestial Degenerates are? And who willingly serves them as their bodyguards?
Garp willingly protected the Celestials and so did Roger too despite hating them as well.
The Celestials are a whole giant group of Vascos, Catarinas and well all the scum out there.
Celestials hunted humans and probably some other races for sport but some people here unironically hate Kuzan for "betraying" the Marines who gladly serve the Celestials. They shot Kumas father dead for singing. Etc.
Not to mention their whole forcing women to be their wives in harems, the list ranking all races as slaves by their "value" etc. They willingly blew up the ship of child Sabo too.
Oda should have had Kuzan join Shanks ad an ally at least or the Revolutionaries instead or even ally with the SHs or Cross Guild later. He gave Kuzan the most evil crew to join and he seems intent on making it Kuzans willing choice to join and be happier there, but the spy angle would have been better despite how cliché and thus extremely overdone and predictable it is. There still could be slim hope of it but I doubt it. Him freezing hibari was too far.
In Doctor Who recently, a terrorist and genocider (ironically called Kid, let the slander begin sigh) tried to kill thousands of people at a interstellar space station concert, Eurovision in space basically and a whole metric ton of people got yeeted into space by him and "died" by freezing and such (until Oda I mean the writer saved them with plot convenience) including the Doctor himself.
After saving himself from being frozen to death, the Doctor confronts Kid in fury and actually brutally tortures him with a Photonic glove like Vegapunk has. I wish I was joking. He says he has "ice in his heart", which I suspect is the situation with Kuzan now too, his heart is getting colder hence why he was so savage in WCI and kidnapped Pudding too. He's becoming more like the BBP or ironically Akainu too.
Also Kid in this episode is part of a humanoid race with horns, not unlike Onis one piece and such and called Hellions lol. as in hell ofc. They were discriminated for their horns and by propaganda from the corporation that runs the contest to ironically "demonise" them and slander them. The same corporation who genocided the entire planet and race of Kid, his Hellion people for just honey and poppies, just like big mom also doing the same to her own islands for cake ingredients. make of that as you will.
Most of the Yonkos and non Yonko pirates and villains like Arlong and Enel are not so different from Celestial Dragons and Imu too.
Kuzan completely fucked up with joining and supporting the BBP but for people to call him scum based on that alone when he willingly was a dog to the WG itself and Celestial Dragons for decades and they did much worse than the BBP ever could have is hilariously disingenuous, hypocritical and ironic.
But the people who decry Kuzan as traitorous scum, unironically defend Akainu for trying to murder his own soldiers for deserting just because IRL militaries too it. GTFO seriously.
