The problem is there was absolutely zero reason for Whitebeard to give Marco a rank above Oden unless he was stronger than Oden. Lol

Marco was not more experienced than Oden, he was a fucking child who was baby sat by Whitey Bay. So by experience Oden should have been ranked above Marco.

And if Marco was ranked above Oden because he was in the crew longer, why not give that spot to someone who had been there longer than Marco like Whitey Bay or Vista?

Nah the implication is obvious, rookie Marco = Prime Rayleigh >> Lolden, Lolden was never as strong as Warco at any point in his life.

Hes part of both crews but he was loaned to Roger, hes WBs partner first and foremost WB literally calls him brother which he doesnt do to anyone else in his crew.

Sure, Im not debating that. Im debating how people perceived him. And that was as a WB pirate, he was also relatively unknown to the world outside of top brass marines,etc.

The Roger pirates already had their reputation before their final voyage, Oden wasnt a part of them yet.

The Roger pirates got the bulk of their reputation because they reached Raftel and oden was a part of that.

As we saw from Sengoku, the marines considered Oden as a part of the Roger Pirates, and were shown in the oden flashbacks oden and the Roger pirates consider him a Roger Pirate as well.

And Oda made sure to introduce us to him as a Roger Pirate first and foremost, him being a Whitebeard Pirate previously was treated as a fun fact.

Gaban would include Oden in his personal listing here because Gaban considered Oden a crew mate.
