The point is: by the end of the story, Luffy’s crew is meant to surpass Joy Boy’s, Roger’s, and Shanks’. We’ve reached a point where even beating a Holy Knight requires Conqueror’s Haki. The real question shouldn’t be whether Sanji will get it, but whether even Usopp and others will too.

Gaban and Ray are two characters where I actually agree with the “If X guy can do it, so can Y” thing

Oda has never had a rule regarding conqueror’s that he hasn’t broken. Conqueror’s are supposed to have an “unbreakable will” but Chinjao lost to Garp once and completely gave up

Me and a former friend used to discuss how CoC should be used to counter and dominate over DF users, nullify their DFs, break their wills and dominate others and even matter/space and maybe even time to a small degree (hence why it feels like time "slows down" when Shanks uses it in Pirate Warriors games) etc.

CoC is just there to add more impact literally, visually and such, Oda really wants those big DBZ style emotional, flashy, destructive moments and powerups.

bro if you don’t know why are you even commenting on zoro? This is like a key aspect of his character. It’s why Luffy knew he wasn’t a bad guy at all

Sanji literally had nobody at the time. It took him 7 days to get to Zou, so at the bare minimum it would’ve taken Luffy the same to get there as well. Who exactly was going to crash out behind him?
