OP arc are now longer simple because the cast in the arcs are now much bigger than before.
Oda also goes into way more detail for stuff like villain past, other characters , etc etc
The arcs also now have more a connection to bigger world ,lore, each other compare to pre time skip .
Each have there pro and cons so it is what it is .

DR is perfect eg of pacing that was not great even if you vol or binge read .
