Loki as of now:
- shits on the levels of the entire Monster Trio's haki (even though they're small anyway)
- shits on Nami and her "electric powers"
- there's a big chance that Luffy wouldn't be able to handle him,
- rest of the crew would probably die after his Haki blast.
- i may be wrong but it seems to me that he is the only character so far who was able to use any kind of power apart from the sea stone.
Aside from that, he has some kind of forbidden devil fruit, and also strange eyes which are probably not just decoration.
His addition would completely kill the point, and meaning of any character development in Luffy's crew.

Also loki will be big defense for the crew when luffy heads to fight imu, or later find the one piece. maybe a other monster down there guarding it.
Pretty simple, ship upgrades! Everything is hinting at it: first, Elbaf is the place where the Adam wood comes from, so they have that expensive material to upgrade their ship. Second, they have Vegapank clone here to build the Ancient weapon that Franky is keeping in his head, it's pretty strongly hinted that they will decide to build it here considering all the developments in the world. All in all, thay are going to have ship upgrades in this arc, a lot of things hint at it, and I'm not the only one who thinks so.

Possible, but still feels weird, the whole situation & contained shadow & how Soldiers were able to Damage him ... etc
I'm still not convinced that Harald was turned into a Demon,
Unless He was cuffed with Kairoseki which does Disable those Powers,
But overall, this entire Flashback seems weird, Oda usually can't stop praising these Figures before He shows their Flashback,
He never once in this Arc tried to make us Readers think of Harald as an Inspirational Figure, nor did He accuse him of being a Villain,
It's like this Flashback won't clear Fans Doubts about Harald in anything, because We don't even have Expectations to begin with,
Unlike Oden or Kuma or Fisher Tiger or Noland ... etc We knew what were their Achievements, we just needed to see why & how, but Harald?
We know nothing about anything He achieved in Life, except that both his People & WG wanted him, that's all,
