Neither is Jiraiya. Kakashi being weakened was addressing the part where I said Kisame was warned by Itachi not to engage Kakashi. Yes, Itachi would obviously keep his cover, but choose convenient excuses as to why he doesn't have to kill/hurt/capture Konoha's top forces. By the logic you're trying to force here, Guy would also have to be stronger.
No, Itachi is no average Uchiha member lmao. Uchiha clan members have reputations, and the average member doesn't stack up to the reputation of the Sannin. But not Itachi, who stands above all of them.

Vastly isn’t an exaggeration. D and B fought the gorosei alongside Luffy and didn’t even get touched instead they were the ones flipping and beheading them. They fought off screen long enough for Luffy to need multiple G5s and they left completely fine. D and Bs portrayal is vastly above Sommers and Killingham.

The difference is with Gai, he never made a claim that Gai himself would be too hard to handle, because obviously Itachi is far above Gai at that point. Kisame would simply not believe it. And my point with the Kakashi scene was simply that they were willing to get rid of any Konoha Shinobi who stood in their way,not anything more.
