Loki said he was dead but we never saw it tbh. Although wouldn’t rox if alive be pushing 90 at this point?
Yeah he would be old as dirt if he somehow managed to survive GV and slink off into irrelevance, but if you wanted to do some deep crackpot theorizing you could imply that the fruit he's after might have some rejuvenating abilities or maybe tie it into Blackbeard.
That fruit chest is prime theorybait, theoryschizos feasting until the flashback ends and it's inevitably way more boring than any theory.

Can't lie that I care about Elbaf...

I like Loki though, I don't mind seeing more of him.

It's annoying the BB revelation was in a throwaway bracket unceremoniously... Instead of being revealed via dialogue with more impact. It also gave the impression that Rocks has no importance or personality apart from being BB's dad.

:whitepress:
I agree about Elbaph, couldn't care less.

I heavily disagree about Rocks, he was the ultimate pirate and was the only real obstacle stopping Roger from becoming the Pirate King, his defeat created a whole new age.

:zehaha: GOAT is back.

Xebec looks even better than I expected. Great chapter.
Who has more pure aura than Rocks?

I have so many questions about Whitebeard's knowledge of Blackbeard before welcoming him onto his crew. Did he know he was his former captain's son? If he did, was he similar enough to Xebec that it made WB hesitate to take him on (i.e he knew he was a cunning backstabber type)? If he didn't, would he have treated him differently than if he did (he seemed to give special treatment to Ace after all).

And, when BB betrayed you, did it remind you of when you betrayed his father? Is that why you didn't send everybody after him and only let Ace do what he wanted? Or were you just oblivious to it all because you're face-blind lol.
No, Xebec ain't a planned character, so is the connection between him and rocks

Teach was let in like an orphan like any other.
WB most likely found out eventually like he did with Ace
Teach could have been a commander, he was offered but he didnt take it.
It´s possible, but Ace went out of his own will.

But Teach being brought onto WB's ship as an orphan was after Oda introduced the idea of Rocks and God Valley (leading into Oden's flashback). There's no way he created the concept of Rocks and only recently decided to tether him to Blackbeard. Although I admit I exaggerated Whitebeard's "hesitation" because I misremember a different scene from the anime.

This is mostly what I'm curious about. If/when he did find out, what his reaction may have been. Wonder if we'll ever get a follow up on it.

Is anybody starting to have questions about Harald's horns and why he " removed them " ? At this point in the flashback every humans he crossed ( after he started acting more wisely ) didn't mention a single thing about them. Oda could have shown that people were scared of ancient giants or smth.

I think Imu or the HK are the ones who asked him to remove them in order to do a pact. They are the only ones who have reasons to be afraid of ancient giants, ( 800+ years ago).
It's possible Imu was afraid of Rocks getting Harald to join him, either as a pirate or as a nation, and that's exactly what Imu is doing with Elbaph rn, because he's afraid they join Luffy/ the D clan.

+ In the discussion with Jarul, Harald understood the government probably had to fight the giants long ago, and that's why they don't want to recognize Elbaph as a country. I guess Harald took it too far and didn't understand the WG higher ups don't care about his ideals until too late.
Yeah nobody’s questioning this for some reason
