I almost forgot - i don't know if anyone mentioned this but - we get a chapter revealing Rocks, and the title of that chapter is "Unable to die" - i know that's pure madness but there's a chance.

Everything we know and Teach and Rocks = dead of Rocks is SUS.

Let's put it this way - until the manga shows me that Rocks actually died - i won't believe it.

:goyea::usoprice::catsure::crybeard:
It is very likely that Rock still lives within Teach, which will be going against the inherited will thing the protagonist follows

I think it’s a simple retcon, oda is not above that. I don’t think Rocks was a thing back then, just like Ace wasn’t Roger’s son at the BOS
Retcons are possible and retcons can be simple, but there is no evidence of Oda retconning anything in this respect.

Whitebeard's aching scar thing is a very common trope. Roger was his greatest rival. He is the likeliest person to have given it to him.

Considering we know Garling fought in God Valley and Oda’s history of tying new ideas to events he wrote in the past I don’t think it’s as unlikely and you make it out to be

I think I have Oda retconning WB's meeting with Shanks to refer to Garling 652 chapters before his introduction at the appropriate level of likelihood.

I'm sure Garling is formidable, but I need to see more of him than slaughtering defenseless civilians to put him in the kind of realm you think he's in.

Just chilling
So the WG knew BB was special ( his heritage was mentioned, aka Xebecs son) and did nothing about his rise? The fuck? First they did nothing about Nika and now this. The WG is getting more retarded by the minute.

Being related to the self insert and straight hype from
Oda should be enough to confirm he’s formidable

Blackbeard hid under WB's shadow, probably they didn't know Xebec had a son much less a wife

He was this vile villain who killed an admiral. At least until he became famous I think they had no idea who Blackbeard was. I think Marineford is when they started putting dots together

Why cant this series have competent antagonists? Closest we have is Akainu and Im sure Oda will find a way to make him do dumb shit once its his turn.

How can you know about Nika and let Luffy go around doing shit for years.

How can you know about BB being Xebecs son and let him rise.

Wtf Oda.

It's the reason those other Yonkou clowns joined him in the first place. Xebec did something they couldn't even dream about doing.
When an Emperor dies or is born, the impact on the world is seismic.

An Admiral dying's barely a blip on the radar.

There's a reason it was the Three Great Powers - those lightweights can't carry justice on their own backs. They've had to be supplemented by Warlords, Pacifista and now Seraphims because they're small fry to Emperors, who are infinitely more threatened by each other.

An Emperor versus an Admiral is the equivalent of a parent wrestling with their kid. :suresure:

Okay so when they put the dots together why are have they been sitting around since MF doing nothing.

It took the WG years to realize Ace was Rogers son, I don’t think it’s unrealistic that Teach who purposely hid his power remained outside of the WG’s eyes until it was too late
Maybe, its still bugging me. Saturn spoke of his heritage like it was something he knew for a while.
