Let's say a pirate that can be beaten by an admiral that fights at full power attacks the holy land, if the admiral fights at full power maybe there will be some casualties or damage, but there's a good chance that the pirate is defeated, but if he brainlessly nerfs himself then the pirate will kill the admiral as well as whoever he wants in the holy land, the damage would be so much greater.
