Oda just made Long Ring Island most important arc ever . Big question if foxy served under Rox and was inspired by it .
So we have Davy Jones lore being true it’s said in Pirate folklore Devil cursing him in bottom of the sea . POC had Dutchman pirates Oda probably mashed a lot of these lores and Pirate of Caribbean thing .
I am going to guess Xebec’s original inspiration was Davy Jones who probably lived in void century he might have been rival of Joyboy which is counter to Blackbeard’s version of evil Joyboy
Joy boy -> Roger -> Luffy
Davy Jones -> Xebec -> Teach
If Xebec got hold of Davy Jones fruit it makes few things clear he probably resorted and used Teach as subject incase his soul will reside in Teach’s body .
Ineffect Davy Jones probably had a devil fruit and Xebec somehow got it maybe he planned to have Yami Yami and Gura Guas Holy trinity .
Xebec is alive in Teach hence the 3 skull his flag makes sense . He is after Imu which might be the final puzzle whatever Imu possess .
Hence I think Blackbeard being final villain is making more and more sense to me . Like I said Imu is just another tool for Xebec in his grand scheme of things .
