Oda specifically made Kaido hype Roger (and by default Shanks, Shamrock etc) for his Haki and not his sword, was because he never was a swordsman. Cope.
And? Rocks didn't get him through strength, nor respect. Its through games, so even fodders like Xebec, Mihawk and Buggy could get him. We know he was just a bum that would've gotten bodied by Whitebeard in a serious fight from Whitebeard's statements anyway.
Harald got near-packed by a bunch of fodders. Extreme diff clashed with Rocks, imply equals. Rocks would've gotten near-packed just the same if you replaced him with Harald as well.

Nobody respected Rocks D Clown because he was a bum carried by his crew members, and crew members he gained not by strength or respect but by kids games, we already know his whole crew treated him like trash and we now also know why he "let" people fight each to death in his crew, he was just too weak to stop his top tier non-swordsmen crew members from fighting each other.
