Why did the narrator say "Xebec knew what he couldn't do"? That's literally stating that Xebec would get destroyed by Imu, which is why he ran away.

I don't know about Shanks being second but one thing is sure: He isn't close to Mihawk at all. Mihawk would have dueled him if he pushed him to extreme diff but no he doesn't. He is ready to duel a one-eyed swordsman but not a one-armed one, only logical explanation is Mihawk is a tier above Shanks. Shanks can't push Mihawk past high diff
Most Zoro stans do overall but in this forum people despise Shanks. And now I understand why. He's a pointless bum Oda shoehorns into hype moments. I still love him but I hate the fact I do.

Yeah but there's a pretty big difference between sticking around and enjoying the story through the eyes of a main character with lots of screentime and some development (Zoro) vs. a character like Shanks who before Elbaf showed up once every 300 chapters to say a cool one liner or style on somebody before disappearing
I can understand people that want to experience the story through someone like Zoro, Luffy, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, or even Law

Its lazy, predictable and makes the world feel smaller and the story too linear.
Frankly I hate anything genetics related so I can't really care to appreciate and thus defend it. Idc if its real too, if there are real life equivalents, it's still shitty to me.
God forbid we have opnions and don't kiss Odas ass on everything too. but then I can just be dismissed as a hater and lacking media literacy or whatever ironically but those with their own overwhelming opinions/biases and lack of understanding.
The only way I could like this if Oda deconstruct it and have Blackbeard double down on not being entirely as fearless as his father but more underhanded, cunning and thus strategic. As he is and should be.
Rocks is just another charming brute, with overwhelming strength to equalise his overwhelming audacity.
I prefer Blackbeard finding out about Xebec due to his love of history research and thus being like Robin potentially, trying to seek out the truth of the world and expose the lies, the curtains drawn over it.
Now he's destined by nature to inherit Rocks will as his son. he's OBLIGATED to in fact and his character is gonna revolve around daddy issues like a LOT of other characters in OP potentially and thus it makes him vs Ace all the worse for me now. Ace and Teach may as well have argued whose dad is stronger and said their dad could beat up the others dad too.
Genetic extremes can happen due to freak mutations that we still don't understand too. in fact most people struggle to live up to their parents legacies, never mind surpass them especially these days too.
This is just a lazy way to hype up Blackbeard and retcon him to be stronger, to get powerups like what Oda is doing with Hajrudin and Harald too. He's not slick.im 100% certain Koby will have an important father now at this point. will of daddy piece for real.
Ironically I'm ranting about all of this despite the fact my own father died yesterday (of cancer too) and I just found out but you know, life is an ironic, savage bitch like that (although without going into explicit, NSFW details, it's not a bad thing either that hea gone too).
We've already got plenty of nepotism/genetic bonus haxes in OP, we do not need more of it. Absolutely lazy, apathetic, amateur writing, that could be done by anyone. May as well murder originality, the event of surprise and creativity in cold blood.
