The issue with this is, this would be completely inconsistent with how Mihawk was written.

The only man said to be Roger’s equal was WB. And Mihawk doesn’t have feats or portrayal suggesting he rivals WB.

All he has is a title which derives its hype from Shanks

But how far does shanks hype go ???? Got his name from dueling Mihawk, splits sky with whitebeard,defeats Loki, stops akainu , one shots Kidd, haki attack to Gb, stopped kaido from showing up (maybe not a feat), Zoro scars kaido with incomplete coc haki etc etc etc. if shanks can do all of this Mihawk can do it too and much easier as he is superior.
