@MrPayne Ay hope you'r doing fine. I heard this chapter has alot of words with several meanings. Hopefully reading the RAWs didn't give you a headache.


But on a serious note, Is there room for a lot of interpretations this time or was it okay?

Can you link me to both the raw and whichever English scan you prefer? I’ll read both and let you know if there’s anything that I think is off.

The panel I am most interested in would be the conversation between rocks and imu in the flower room, especially the part with Davy Jones being mentioned. Also, the introduction of the other rock pirates and their epithets would be nice. Even clues about their speech patterns would be fun for speculation if you can make out any. Because there is all kinds of speculation going around about who could be related to them at present times. But, if you want to go through the entire chapter, I won't stop you.

That was 100% "swordsmanship". I try to defend translators a lot of times, because translations is not always 100% literal.

But there was 0 reason to change it to "swords attacks". It is swordsmanship 100% as Sandman pointed out.

after rereading both languages side by side, I will say the translation (between the raw and the English scan you provided) are pretty spot on. I only have a few veeeery nit picky changes I would make that really doesn’t change the narrative or outlook on anything.

I have those small wordings written off to the side so if you want shoot me a DM and I’ll send it over to you, but I’d say this chapter is 99% spot on with the translation.

Great. You don't know how many heated debates break out just over one mistranslation lol. Especially when it comes to fight scenes. But even now, when we dive more into the lore, accuracy is most welcome. It never hurts to have someone fluent in both languages, take a second look and give their opinion. If we look further back, the early parts of the manga had notoriously bad translations. I am glad that it has changed for the better over the years.
