It explains BB's durability and abnormal physical strength though. Afterall he nearly broke Ace's neck with a simple neck chop.
But at the same time it goes to show where the trend goes: Starting from around the mid high tier, a lot of the strongest characters in the series are gene merchants. Excellent combat skills, aCoC and busted ass DFs save the humans in this verse.
A guy like Garp really might have been the physically strongest "real" human in history.
And it puts into perspective the limits of a DFless and ACoCless (for now) human like pre Mera Sabo. Give him FS aswell and he would have been near his absolute peak otherwise.

Can I just ask what is the point of saving these race reveals? Like what would effectively be the difference for the reader if Kuma was introduced as a Buccaneer or Xebec as a Davy, etc? We still wouldn't know what that actually means, so it wouldn't give away the plot if it had been part of the character's introductions.
Looking forward to seeing Dragon shoot a CD, though. Hope the GK lineup has some more details about each one and isn't silhouettes.
