This should be very interesting for at least the theorists. It’s likely that Kuma’s special ability to resist getting his literal mind getting erased is a big deal.

My theory is that Buccaneers split their souls. The way Big mom’s df does. That’s why Kuma can survive having his mind erased, a part of his soul survived the erasure and was animating him. That’s why Teach can eat two df, Each df is taking up a different part of his soul. And that’s why Imu has Buccaneers marked for death, Imu’s Domi Reversi corrupts your soul but if you can split off a part of your soul, you can basically resist getting controlled by having a part of your soul be spared from the effects.

Devil fruits aren't attached to your soul but your physical body, hence why Law's "heart transplant" didn't move devil fruit abilities from one body to another.

That’s true but your souls and your body have a kind of symbiosis. For example brook can animate his own remains with just his soul. When Big mom makes homies their physical properties themselves change, like Pudding’s rug suddenly starts flying just because a soul was out into it

Law didn’t transfer DF abilities but that’s likely just a limitation of his ability than anything

This “power of love” is a different thing from the buccaneers thing. I highly doubt Teach can eat two DFs because of the “power of love”

It’s questionable.
On one hand you have brooks powers which are connected purely to his soul
On the other you have what you mentioned

Seeing how Vegapunk attributed the buccaneer power to the “power of love” it’s probably just the same thing

The translations around this are wonky. I’ve seen a translation that just says Vegapunk says “Because of love”. The word “Power” is not used in that scene. In fact the translation was from the original raws

again, it’s highly unlikely that Teach is using something called “the power of love”

teach and Kuma are the buccaneers so we gotta find similarities between Teach eating two DFs and Kuma surging his mind erasure. The only similarity I can find is that both of them involve your soul doing something beyond something a SINGLE SOUL should be able to
