I keep telling people Ray is linked to Luffy as much as if not more than Zoro. Luffytards are so retarded they shit on him cause he was Roger's first mate just to spite Zoro. That's literally Luffy's Jiraiya. There's a reason he's put on such a pedestal.

These ideas are not contradictory, Whitebeard was far older, far stronger, and far closer to death when he fought the Navy lmfao. There was no tangent at all. You brought up Whitebeard because you were desperate for me to stop pointing out how pathetic Crydo is, but Oda established a long time ago that Primebeard was a fraudulent coward as well.
It is absolutely headcanon when we don't actually have their dialogue. Spoilers say that both Big Mom and Whitebeard told Kaido they didn't want to waste time on fighting Garp and the blurred out dialogue bubbles don't clearly indicate Whitebeard saying so and Big Mom not.

People forget that Kizaru speech suggest when he is serious and when is not.
Roger missed dialogues will be explored by sandman and Redon line about Roger pretending and not fighting seriously will be confirmed. Roger way of speak will confirm this and that he pretended on purpose to make Ray go and not steal the scene when he could have sent Fraudbeard fly easily.
