It’s not about being identical, it’s about them having the same dynamic to Luffy.
Garp and Roger’s dynamic is completely different from Luffys and Coby’s, Coby is an entirely different thing. Hell his literal dream is the one thing Garp refuses to do, become an admiral. Coby is a different thing from Garp entirely, Coby is what the world thought Garp was, a hero. He’ll do what heroes do and save people. That’s his role, and the hero saving the slaves from the corrupt king is a tale as old as time. Coby vs Pizarro is going to happen and it’s nothing to do with power scaling, but everything to do with Coby and his role and character.
There’s a monstrous gap between Lafitte and Brook… Lafitte is literally the only BBP that Ace didn’t instantly wreck in Banaro Island. Lafitte threatened to kill Pizarro when Pizarro said he’d take over as captain, and Lafitte was serious with it. He got hyped up by an old legend in Tsuru. He is given a role that’s only shared by the number 2 of the revs, an old legend who fought Whitebeard and Garp, and a character who fought his crews vice captain to a draw. Lafitte is a top member of the BBP. Comparing him to Brook is a wild statement.

Can't you do the same for Sengoku especially since his fruit using shockwaves can be amplified by using ACoA as well? And Kizaru has done palm strikes and what not several times? It makes for sense for him to be imitating the dude who's made of gold and likely has great hardening and ACoA and is a government dog than it does for him to be imitating Garp.

Honestly, a solid Marine flashback is needed, hopefully it's Sakazuki's. Because he's def has heavy influence from both Sengoku and Garp.

@SakazOuki look at this horseshit headcannon on Garp's Wiki. Niether have ever interacted or spoke about the other, but apparently they got no respect for each other. Lmao. Bruh I swear people try to turn Akainu into their projection so much. Legit think that Sakazuki of all people would have no respect for somebody who went against family for the Marines.
We also never saw the Gorosei decide what they think about Garp getting kidnapped, and they might care a lot less then the marines do. And we could possibly get a convo between Teach and Garp on pirate island. A lot of potential with that plotline, though I don´t think we will get much

Great pirate as in he did something great for challenging the Yonko.
Defeated a great pirate and became one himself, equal in bounty to a certain new yonko and 2nd coming/resurrection of joyboy and nika the sun god.
Kidd, Law and Luffy all got 3 billion bounties post Wano, Luffy was declared a Yonko officially and not just a "5th Emperor" and who faced Shanks in Luffy's place? Kidd. Kidd became a "great pirate" and thus got brutally tested by Shanks (vomits from the terrible writing).
During the game those 3 played to determine who goes where after Wano, Luffy was meant to go to Elbaph instead of Kidd and Kidd was meant to go to Egghead IIRC. I remember Luffy and Kidd chose the same direction or something and it ended up with Kidd going to Elbaph and Luffy to Egghead ofc, so Luffy gets to duck Blackbeard jumping him but also reuniting with Shanks conveniently, Kidd doesn't get to meet Vegapunk and he also avoids getting fucked over by Blackbeard instead ironically or even potentially allying with him instead. But I don't think Kidd would have allied with him there and then unless they happened to discuss Shanks somehow.

They're both heroes, Garp just has a different demeanor from Koby, but Garp has saved people on several occasions. Hell the reason why he doesn't serve the CDs like most other Marines is because they oppress people which is something he despises.
And sure Koby wants to be an Admiral, but do you really think he'd serve the CDs and be their dog like all the other Admirals (bar Issho)?
He's clearly far different than that. He'll be a "good" Admiral for once.
Also, Cabaji and Sabo are the Chief of Staff and they're the second strongest in their crews with Cabaji being Zoro's opponent. That wouldn't make sense for Lafitte as Shiryu is the clear second strongest as well as Zoro's fight for that arc.
Also Tsuru is the Chief of Staff yet she wasn't the 2nd strongest of the Marines.

God valley seems to be mainly rocks story, as in he must be defeated to set stage for the new players
I don't think thats to happen unless BB falls before imu like an arc or two earlier
I could see elements on it in laugh tale tho if the admirals are there or in the final war that will mimick marineford
