Not a single perosn is saying Koby won't be an admiral by the time the story ends. The issue is y'all are glazing this man who ODA HIMSELF isn't giving any fighting relevance and thinking he's gonna be a big dog by the time of the final war, when other people who're young and also growing are being given more relevant fights than him...

Yes I do, the spread is favoring younger more ambitious characters as opposed to pure strength. That´s why Mihawk isn´t on there instead of his captain Buggy. Because Mihawk isn´t interested in the OP like Buggy is.

Importance does not equal strength. Koby is maybe important enough to be on there, but no one would seriously be putting him in even a top 30, and maybe not top 50

Difference being, those characters don't copy their master's fighting styles to a tee, they don't do the exact same training regimes as their masters, and they don't go around chasing the future Pirate King talking about how they need to stop him from achieving his dreams.
Also, Koby specifically is one of three people in the spread who, at the time, was an underling of another person on the spread, yet was still significant enough to be there. The others being Sabo and Shamrock.
It's dumb to assume he just won't be even half as important as the others in the spread because "He hasn't done anything impressive yet though!". Luffy took 2 years to become YC3 level, and then he randomly shot up to the level of top tiers within a few weeks in verse. Hell, Oda will even just give characters inexplicable boosts like Kidd and Croc got.
No way y'all are going to argue me down on how Koby can't be on Prime Garp's level when the most common trope in Shonen manga is characters randomly getting far stronger for the final battle.
