I think there is an argument of mine explaining this. I have always been in the admiral Fandom but I always liked and defended shanks as well.
What created the whole YONKO VS admiral debate and absurdity claims was because everyone was using Shanks, the clearly future strongest YONKO since Oda was literally saving him as the last one of the originals.
Yet, many even stated years ago stuff like Linlin above Red hair, very anti narrative intuition claims.
The major problem is taking Shanks feats, when Oda has a special place for him in his heart and give it to other yonkos, when the average YONKO is a bum.
Shanks can wifi diff Aramakii? Sure
Aramaki can be above Kaido? It's likely.
Sorry but this is the truth.
