Either way you'd think a standard would have to be met for sommers to be a god knight in the first place, we don't even know how old he is currently.
Furthermore if we go with this rhetoric, then this is not even prime ray either. Because we know these characters get stronger after God Valley.
E.G Garp 8 years after GV had to train just to beat chinjao's drill, and he insinuates he wasn't able to in previous altercations with chinjao, who at this point had already survived scraps with both roger and garp.
So it makes sense that Ray is also still in his youth and not in his prime, just like the description oda used to describe Garp and Roger clashing not long before this incident.
So you have a character like Ray who might still be a decade away from his prime compared to an out of prime scopper due to old age.
both one shot someone who is supposed to be a Knight of god (imu), sommers is never going to be on the same level as an old or young ray either way so he's just being used as a hype-tool.
It's underwhelming when you look at the potential match ups being ray vs shiki or garling or something but who knows, it's not over yet, this is just to show ray use a conquerors move I guess.
I'd also suggest you stop paying attention to what leakers say, because you let them affect your enjoyment of the story, I've seen u trashing ray for 3 comments now at-least

Frankly a nice chapter.
- WB, Big Mom, and Kaidou working together to beat who betrayed rocks, means they weren't the ones who betrayed rocks and were loyal until the very end.
- Kyo is nowhere mentioned, so he most likely betrayed, and Shiki dealt with him off-screen.
