We don't know if their regen strength is conditional or not.

Remember that imu herself is on elbaf. Maybe that means their regen is boosted.

The HK or Gorosei will die when Imu does, but they don’t need to be killed in the fights against the weaker allies just immobilized.

I don’t really see how that works logically

We just saw Sommers get up after being cut in half after a few minutes. Are the allies gonna sit over their bodies and slice them up nonstop until Luffy defeats Imu

I don’t buy it personally

I like how at least 2 of the holy knights we saw initially have disappeared seemingly at least.

Also if they cannot be killed for any reason, Oda is gonna need some damn good explanations for why they've not appeared in the present nor why they keep ducking attacks on Mary Geoise too. Even then they have no excuse to be ducking anyway but still.

I suspect to get rid of them ultimately, you will have to kill Imu or break some kind of contract/pact on them somehow with Imu. Film Red had the "unkillable demon king" in it that even Shanks couldn't take down and kill, not even with his own crew, Luffy in Gear 5 and various others helping too IIRC, it could only be sealed and I fear we're gonna have those similar clichés in the OP canon endgame too.
