I get what people try to say, but like Shanks, Loki also didn´t want to kill his father.

I think the difference in this case is that Shanks says to gaban to hold out for loki as he is their final hope, in the same convo where he says he dont want to kill Harald, if i didnt misread (kanji panels kinda small on phone). So shanks coping maybe Loki can handle him without killing him, interpretation wise. @PuckTheGreat how did you translate that scene?

I think way more characters have surpassed Rocks than we first assumed.

Loki and Kaido, Linlin in her prime, Shanks. Rocks would still ruin Luffy, but I think Teach is close to or has surpassed Rocks.

Big question I have with the scaling is this:

If you coat a Devil Fruit attack in CoC, can it get through Blackbeard's Black Vortex?

why you sneaking Kaido and Big Mom in like that? Big mom literally wanted to suck Lokis dick so she can beat all the other Yonkos. Kaido lost to just awakend Luffy the same way Harald lost to just getting his devil fruit Loki.

the only Yonko you can say surpassed the old legends is Shanks based on the info he chained Loki but even then that could be made up. idk Im not a fan of trying to upscale People based on 1 character being strong like that because now instead of just saying Loki is that strong we started to say that a character Oda hyped to the heaven like Xebec was actually not that strong. makes no sense to me.

he was Top Tier but did not fight Mihawk yet, there is a insane strength gap between this shanks and future shanks. Mihawk is the one that brought him to that lvl.

Shanks wanting to save Harald doesn't mean he didn't want to deal damage to him. Gaban even commented about Harald's Haki, do you think it would mean nothing when both didn't even try? I mean, they even cut off his leg, so obviously both Gaban and Shanks still tried their best.

I do think Loki's DF ability played a crucial part in dealing enough damage to Harald to make him get his mind back. Then Harald allowed Loki to deal the final blow but I don't think Harald can just cancel his own regeneration like that. At best he didn't use CoC barrier at the end.

Yeah but them trying to stop him is differnt from trying to kill him .( not saying that they could )
It just like roger and grap vs rocks they were trying stop him and were doing attacks but did not want to kill him .
They decide they can't win a prolong fight and did one massive attack which got him out of DR .
Here Harlad came back to his mind but had to be kill cause he could have been taken over again .

I see...am holding off making any decisive judgement of Loki rn but I can certainly see why you'd think this.

Do you think there is any chance of late stage evolution for the Admirals, writing or power wise? I think not holding back so much, using logia + haki and getting awakenings would buff them hugely.

If not, where do you think they'll land once the series ends?

Imo we'll see Rocks Port eventually (maybe even this flashback if we are lucky), because Ochoku has been shown and we know his connection to Teach now. It would be a cathartic loop to close if we could see Teach killing Ochoku for betraying his father's crew. That still needs to happen imo

The interesting thing to me with Wang Zhi is he never betrayed Rocks, he just sold out Shakky. Marlone was just colateral, Wang had NO interest picking a fight with Rocks. Also, if Shakky hadn't got kidnapped, the CDs still would have gone to God Valley. The only difference, is Rocks wouldn't have showed up. Ochoku low-key HELPED Teach live.

I've said a lot I believe Garp is getting sold to Cross Guild for 3 Billion Berries, and executed. I think this will happen in Wano, to disrupt the Marines going for Pluton; they're have to choose between rescuing Garp, or doing their duty (I also believe the WG will discharge Garp because he's more trouble than he's worth to them, now, and he's done a lot of shit they can discharge him for).

So, I think we'll get Rocky Port flashback in Wano in Act 4, briefly, when we have Law (wants revenge on Teach), Koby (wants Garp), and either Caribou (Wang's son) or Ochoku all in one place.

If Caribou IS Wang/Ochoku's kid, it will be hilarious, because even if Caribou 1000% loves Teach, Blackbeard will likely believe he's a traitor like Ochoku was.

When Garp is executed, I think Wang Zhi/Ochoku will also be there getting killed.

IMO the entire criminal underworld hates Wang Zhi because he is a giant piece of shit, and they want to publicly execute him for fucking them over for decades. If Don Marlone WAS the Don of the West Blue, Bege and everyone else from the West who respected Don Marlone most likely want this man TORTURED to death. Like, Law, Koby, and Teach are a RANDOM trio, I think everyone HATES Wang.

Ochoku is alive, and will get a public execution alongside Garp.

So, I'm hoping we get some Ochoku/Garp exchanges about the past.
