Really enjoyed this chapter. I knew Brook was gonna have some prime knight years but I didnt expect it like this. The attack from Brook and the characters of this flashback are great. Candyl has an awesome design, is considered strong, and baddie certified. Waiting for the obligatory tragic backstory related to the CD

Lmao, the delay on his slash is nuts. Usually the "I quickly cut you, the cut occurs later" thing is just a fun and wholly inconsequential trope, but in this case it's so exaggerated that Oda uses it to pretty much off-screen and auto-resolve a potential fight. Kinda creative, ngl.
