Did Oda make Luffy quit his G5 antics?
No laughing and no over the top tom and jerry reaction shots. Not even once I think.
Feels more like Luffy, that's just transformed and moves differently.
I would not be mad if he keeps it that way.

The majin transformation pretty much confirms that he can do virtually everything he wants and Luffy still needs to realize that potential.
He might unlock a very powerful skill w/o getting a new PU in itself, he just needs the knowledge ig.
