On the one hand, unlocking CoC would keep Sanji from losing himself. If he can finally see and accept himself as a "king", then his identity can't be hijacked by his Dad's tech.
But, on the other hand, so doing completely invalidates the potential plot line Oda set up in Wano with Sanji turning into "black-hair evil Sanji" and needing Zoro to restrain him.
And we've seen how Oda wants to have his cake and eat it too.
Since CoC is genetic, its awakening could signal the exoskeleton to enter a "special perfect Germa soldier" mode that takes over Sanji's personality before the Final War, and the SHs will have to step in and remind him of "nakama and shit."

those same attacks removed lakainu for 2 whole chapters in which WB went onto fight Teach & co, gave a full on speech that reignited the great pirate era, Teach took hold of Gura, WB died & Aokiji had frozen the sea by the time he was able to finally return to the battlefield.
lakainu aint no conqueror dude got perception blitzed by shanks, couldnt take care of traumatized coma luffy and sengoku had to hold back garp from killing him, he is no conqueror, hes a DF merchant nothing more

from his skillset he shouldnt but the way that oda has written this arc an sanji in the last few arcs i wouldnt put it past oda to have lanji kill killingham if zoro is set to kill sommers so they remain "equals" now.
from what sanji has to offer and what he may learn this arc it would be best if he knocks out killingham if thats enough to make the rain god disappear but i doubt it since its a nightmare but they said once the user of ability is dealt with, so not sure if basic DF laws apply to killingham if hes ko'd then df abilities also disappear.

Tbh this PU seems like an intended spam PU to slow down Zoro's development. Unless he learns something completely different than the usual black lightning, it just doesn't make any sense. Zoro was easily using CoC coating and even consciously using the no touch effect which is basically the CoC barrier like Rocks/Harald used
