The buildup for Wano has been superb. Oda has done a masterful job building towards the arc since Punk Hazard.
The "open the borders" narrative is essential and it has actually only been mentioned 5 times in the manga since Zou (including this week and last week). I really don't know where you get the idea that it was repeated "a 1000x times".

i totally agree with you. i just thought it was funny that Zoro's self pride and confidence in his power wont let him do it. It's not necessarily a bad thing, i would even say it's good but oh boy he's in for some rude awakening and realization in this arc

Their death had no big impact... even Pound plot was at least not forced

This chapter feels meh, and tbf most, aside from single digit few, most of Wano chapters feels the same. Only ones that have been fantastic so far had nothing to do with Wano.

Wano indeed picked up some hype when time travel shit was brought in, but Holdem- Urashima plot, BM on her way to Prison, Prison plot, Zoro lost adventure in Wano, some of the shit have streched too long.
DR had better start than it, Zou was better, WCI had amazing start, compared to em Wano feels meh so far.

Remember he's no into silly stuff ( to him it migth be silly) plus I think that a samurai armor is like a obstacle for his kind swordmanship.
