anyone still thinks zoro will cut the guy that is the roger equivalent these days, kaidou. the only reason oden even cut him back then is because kaidou was likely still some rookie himself.
Dude, relax. Chill.
This whole dialog was simply Oda running away from giving us a "Rayleigh vs Oden" fight
Gabban was literally telling Rayleigh that they should take him down fast. So, the whole idea was them teaming up for a "FAST RESULT". It was not that Rayleigh couldn't stand up to him by himself, nor that he's stronger than Oden nor weaker. Nothing is known because Oda himself ran away from it
Roger on the other hand, his words were mere "excuse" to have a go at it FIRST. Nothing more and nothing less, EVEN RAYLEIGH literally said that.
People need to read ALL of the dialog, and not only parts of the dialog that suits their interests
Fo real, Oda should give us that answer, AT LEAST when Roger meets WB once again in that scene, Oda can make Roger ask WB about the scar and who did it. The same way WB asked about Shanks arm lost, or how Shanks told WB that the scar was done by Teach.
At least Oda should give us a name to look out for. The bare minimum
Anyone still thinks Shanks got his scar in that confrontation? LOL
people just couldn't accept it EVEN when I provided a panel of adult Shanks without the scar haha
The only answer I can think of is "Lurking Legend". And he's the one who Shanks came to talk to the Gorosei about to warn them about his danger.
And he must be related to Shanks.
At first, I thought it's Roger, but clearly Roger wasn't the cause for the scar.
Also, saying that "seeing your face reminds me of the scar that guy gave me" makes it more personal for Shanks. By personal, I mean it makes it more "blood-related". Someone like a father or an older brother...etc.
But how? why would WB keep him on the ship?
Or is it that BB has some kind of monster who took over his body? maybe he has more personalities and one of them was that?
But it wouldn't make sense for WB to say that "he is the only one he cannot forgive" during his battle with him, if Blackbeard simply had someone take over his body, and WB knew about it, and kept him on the ship, and then later he said he cannot forgive him. Feels very contradictory for WB personality

I think it can depend by the translation, if it's "wound" or "scar" cuz i read some saying wound some scar, and he can talk about the fact that he let Oden go with him but Oden died (and it can be Roger's fault cuz they might have did something to Kaido and he decided to kill Oden) so that "Wound" can be the loss of one of his family.....(but it can also be a scar) idk.....

Cuz it's true they meet one last time but they're having a friendly chat none of them looks damaged or something....
The clash between Roger and Whitebeard. Oden joinning Roger. the hint about Blackbeard's nature. Roger's disease. the sky island and Poseidon. well done.

Amazing chapter, as usual i think arguments here are really stupid... Roger Pirates and WB Pirates had no intention to kil each other, its a friendly pirate skirmich that's all; Luffy is indeed the same as Roger and personally love that; at the same time that we discover Roger history and about his disease Oda starts to tell Blackbeard history, genius imho, preparing future flashbacks.
Theory: roger's life was extended a bit further than one year through DF , and the fruit was the gomu gomu no mi.
I still think that Luffy needs some higher power to finish his story as PK, maybe that's how Roger and Luffy histories will intersect.
10/10 chapter.
👌👌👌
It can be maybe during his "suicide missions" or the Navy i mean WB pirates fight too.....
(one more thing that makes me think he is not talking about the physical scar is the fact that is just a scar why it should "ache" remembering Roger i mean u fight Roger u get scars why he should be angry for some physical scars to me it's something deeper like that....or it's not Roger and he is talking about someone else related to Shanks but meh

To be fair, Shanks also was talking about a physical scar of his face and he said it "aches" So, just saying. But I do agree that WB might have been talkig about a scar/wound that isn't physical, so I wouldn't really mind that answer.
