Exactly Oda doesn't seem to be in control of the pace and flow of his own manga. That's why he is a failure of an author in general. A good author doesn't allow the story to take control of him

I'm just tired of this Wano sh*t, to be honest. I only felt for Oden tbh I don't care about Wano citizens' same old sh*t( Alabasta, Dressrosa )\ and their sad backstory. If Oda will spend next 10 chapters on clowning around Onigashima and making Yonko's looks like fools then I don't expect the 1000th chapter to be something interesting other then epic double-page spread of Luffy's new attack which will do nothing besides scratching Kaido or BM. We need to jump into f'ing fights already I don't care about Kaido's son possible daddy issues. Ulti said it the best xd.

Mihawk is a pure or ''real'' swordsman, someone who concentrates only on fighting with a sword. Shanks is a swordsman and a haki master. Remove Mihawk's sword and you get someone who even Holdem can beat.
