The Raid Suit is his power though. He can use it any time just like any other character can use their weapon.

Eh, to me it feels cheap because when Sanji brush off an attack or save momo, we say thanks to the raid suit, when Zoro cuts pika in pieces, or Zoro tanks a scythe we say thanks to his strength/skill/durability. But if Sanji fans are fine with it then of course all is fine it's just my opinion.

The scuffed cheek Sanji has is from the fall, King attempted to fuck up his stomach.

It's like the scabbards who dropped on top of Kaido. No one attacked them but they took that fall damage.

for the scabbard it could have been because of the ryuo they used not just from the fall
