Coherent powerscaling take on WorstGen? I'm surprised.

Ok I see where you're coming from now. I never really pay attention to power level details because Oda doesn't care, but I might actually go back and re-read their Marineford scenes. As Doffy is my favorite character in the series (ok alongside Luffy, Zoro, Buggy, etc..) so I'm kinda salty I can't respond to this lol

Oda does care about rational powerscaling, he just is willing to abandon it for the sake of the plot. This is why Haki exists: so that a character's "Will" can overcome a stronger opponent.

I love Doflamingo, and he's going to be a powerhouse with Adv CoC soon. Already has great CoA, CoO, CoC, and Awakening.

We're about to see Doffy's peak. Marineford was Croc learning from losing to Luffy and becoming stronger, expect to see the same from Doffy in Wano Act 4, Elbaf, or the Laugh Tale war (wherever Oda wants to reintroduce him).

I want Doffy to become a legit antihero so badly, HE'D BE SOOOOO COOL. JUST, KILL THE CELESTIAL DRAGONS, AND LEAVE EVERYONE ELSE ALONE, DANG IT, MAN!

My headcanon was always that Imu will release Doffy to help him out in the final war....looks like it won't just be headcanon

Exactly. Oda realized he didn't make Luffy strong enough to beat Croc realistically in Alabasta, and adjusted Croc later to make him stronger. Not like Oda can go back and redraw Alabasta.

Considering the pace it does not make a big difference

I mean it doesn't but I know animators complain so why not take a rest when they can? Even Oda took the 3 weeks. I think TOEI is just truly greedy.

Doffy's strings couldn't block Kyros, and Doffy didn't want anything to do with Kyros, when Croc STOPPED MIHAWK FROM KILLING HIS SUBORDINATE.

????Kyros??? You mean that guy that Doffy nearly outright murdered and who later on even said "we literally would only just get in Luffy's way if we tried to help him fight Doffy".

Kyros was arguably more outmatched against Doffy than Sanji was.
