That was definitely a sign of him being loved by the staff. They completely erased that scene and simply turned it into a Jimbe smoke screen on steroids (which was by far the better version anyways) and they didn't add additional filler of BBP's jumping Garp after that scene.

You know, it's kinda funny how Wuzan has caused TOEI to seriously spazz out TWICE within the same arc.

Firstly, Henry Thurlow gets blasted by TOEI animation dudes cause the scene with Cracker "didn't look like One Piss" (wtf do you mean, TOEI-piece has no concrete style, it's been inconsistent for years). As a result, he leaves for good.

Secondly, Vincent Chansard's 95% draft work for the Garp vs Kuzan episode gets yeeted-deleted by TOEI, probably for no good reason. After this shitshow he takes a break from OP.

Off of the anime I would say it's safe to say Garp > Big Mom and >= Kaido

Like half of Garp's attacks in the anime look more impressive than Bajrang Gun

I expect insane speed animation like that for Garp when Kizaru moves or otherwise it's a complete dissapoinment.

Ever since entering the staff made him move in slow motion, they even managed to ruin the kick. Luffy noticing Kizaru disengaged while he's still moving up and then just waiting for Kizaru to perform the attack was giga retarded.
