It is different than the normal fire attacks and boro breath also.

Wonder if Kaido could have used this type of flame coating with his club in hybrid mode.

@Hanzo hattori @Levi
That would be dope

No fire can melt Onigashima's horn the moment it touches it
It is obviously magma but you know his haters will never accept the truth and they know that Akainu needs to show a similar attack or he will look bad compared to Kaido

Yes, it's different, as Zoro stated when King used his final attack: "These flames are like magma," which indicated that they weren't ordinary flames but special ones—so hot and dense that Zoro had no choice but to compare them to magma. You can notice their pigmentation; compare this to all of Ace's attacks, and you'll see how distinct they are from regular fire.

Something that also made it very evident to me was the way Kaido melted the horn just by barely touching it.
The reddish or orange hue of magma results from the incandescence of minerals present in molten rock, such as iron, silica, and other elements. These minerals, when exposed to extremely high temperatures, emit light in warm tones. Therefore, the color of magma is not directly an indicator of temperature but rather an effect of its mineral composition.

In the case of King’s final attack, which Zoro compares to magma, the color of the flames does not need to be similar to indicate equivalent temperatures. King’s flames can reach the same level of heat as magma but, since they do not involve molten rock and thus lack incandescent minerals, they display a different coloration. This makes sense, as the flames are an energetic manifestation rather than a physical one.

Thus, even though they are less dense and lack the minerals present in magma, King’s flames could reach equally destructive temperatures. The difference in composition explains the distinct color but does not diminish their thermal power. Zoro acknowledges this similarity in extreme heat, justifying his comparison to magma, even though they look different due to the absence of molten rock.

The color and density don't really matter if the heat is the same.

The fact that Big Mom fell into magma while unconscious, with her defenses weakened, and remained there for minutes without her body being completely charred, significantly weakens the argument that Akainu's magma would be a lethal threat to either of them (Kaidou and Big Mom). I mean, we're talking about a creature who was still intact after being submerged in magma for X amount of time. Makes me wonder how long it would take for the magma to melt even one of her nails. LOL
