General & Others ONE PIECE HYPE

The current Wano arc is very hyped, and actually is the most hyped arc in the series yet, resulting in massive amount of theories out there...
i've been following one piece for 10+ years, but i just got into the community recently, which makes me wonder :
- how was the hype in the old pre time-skip arcs? (especially marine ford saga)
- was there many theories speculating about the arc that time? if yes, what kinda theories were the famous ones?
- did the fans expect that there will be a time skip that time?

is he a veteran in one piece community? would be very nice if he's willing to share some infos :D
yup, wano is just fine right now, but the hype is massive

No other arc besides the final one has been as hyped up as Wano has going into it. Perhaps Marineford, but most of that was from the aftermath. Wano's had more lead up hype among the fandom.

1. It involves the take down of an Emperor
2. It's had at least a decade of build up
3. Lots of players are involved
4. Oda and his editors have fueled the hype claiming how excited they are for it
5. Its hype comes during a time when the fandom is more connected than ever

Whether it meets expectation will only truly be settled once the arc is over.

so there was no hype like this in the past arcs? not even MF? i've just been wondering if the op fandom and community that time has made theories about ace and WB death before the arc even happened....
about Wano, yeah i know, it's super hyped, especially after oda said that Wano will make MF looks like a small thing in comparison... i really hope it will live up to the expectation tho, i mean it will be the payback of after everything that happened after timeskip (including FI because luffy declared fight against BM there), believe in GODA!

Yeah, Topi-kun is the person that always speak fax when it comes to One Piece arc (especially Wano)But yeah, the hype is real LOL
