One Piece Live Action: Luffy Says Gum-Gum?

I don't understand this. Luffy is a "Gomu Ningen". That means, "Rubber Human". He shouldn't be saying, "Gum-Gum" because he's not gum. Wtf. It's Rubber-Rubber! The only reason it sounds like he's saying Gum in the manga/anime is because that's how rubber is pronounced in that language. What nonsense.

Also, it may attract the wrong audience if Inakid-whats-his-name were to shout "Ruboneout" every time he punches someone.
