This talk about Zoro getting a power up is exhausting. Pretty sure the first time Zoro used Shusui he acknowledged that he was stronger because he got the blade, that his attacked were heavier. It’s not the same level as Sanji getting the raid suit because Zoro was competitive in the NW prior whereas Sanji really wasn’t, but it’s still a powerup nonetheless.

There are only two permanent black blade in the world. Turn a sword permanently black is clearly shown to be one of the Swordsmanship pinnacle.

There is no reason for Oda to shit on a black blade especially one who was the main weapon of someone as strong as Ryuma.
