He just said he let him get away, Sasaki is mocking him, and not trying to be fair or saying the truth (especially cuz this isn't in the manga), getting defeated and coming back hurt is completely normal in OP. It stills doesn't explain why did Page One vanished for a week and suddenly stopped chasing Sanji like Drake and Hawkins were doing. It's pretty clear that Sanji did what he said he was doing, he inutilized Page One and then ran away, as his plan was not being recognized.

I'm wondering if Oda told them to add this line, because it wasn't in the manga. I was speculating that was in fact the case.
