The more I think of it the more what I say will make sense.
Kidd is going to be captured by Shanks.
It's to replicate blackbeard also potentially also capturing law.
To add I do not think Shanks needs kidds poneglyoh rubbings. The reason I suspect why he is taking them is because he simply does not want kidd to be the ones in laugh tale.
So now luffy finds out coby is captured, gets to know that law is captured and kidd is captured. All individuals he respects.
Luffy wont go after law or coby since garp is which he would find out from vegapunk or marine (sentomaru) whom have intell. Which means luffy would be fighting Shanks to save kidd.
Law and kidd are not set up to be yonko else oda would have made them yonko the same time luffy was made one especially since he gave them all the same bounty. Oda decided not to since there purposed are being those of this generation to come close to the mark, to be right there and still....... fail (in the sense of not being yonko even though they are great pirates)
