Yeah man in all seriousness, it feels like how Oda writes Sanji and Zoro but Zoro is the unlucky one in this situation so to speak. The neglected one, the wasted potential etc. I'm giving Oda a chance since he brought back Kidd and sent him to Elbaf too of all places but I'm not letting him destroy my long built up hopes as much as he did before either. This is before WCI and Wano Sanji too. You could also swap over Zoro ironically with how Oda wasted his character at Wano except for feats/fights and such and then admitting he cut the storyline of why Ushimaru looks like Zoro was so INFURIATING! Like rubbing it in our faces! Especially when he says he may not mention it in the main s tory either, BAH! Not even letting him be Zoros father either, even more BAH! Why are you like this Oda?! Why you do this to us!?
Oda also for some odd reason has had Kidd and Killer showcase no haki, when they're incredibly self made men, battle hardened, tried to take on multiple Yonkos and their commanders, took down various gangs ruling a country and so on lmfao. Gotta love Frauda/Trollda! Not showing his CoC even in a clash with BM when he and her went head to head directly, was such utter BS.
Oda rubbed it in our faces too by saying he expected Kidd to be the popular and much more focused one and he didn't expect things to go this way with Law instead lmfao. I love Law but its hard to watch him get all the love instead of an equal split between him and Kidd like it should be. Hell Oda wasted most of the Supernovas like he's doing with Yonko Commanders and especially some SHs and most of the Scabbards too.
It was so disgusting that Luffys bounty wasnt higher than theirs ironically, I'm glad he and Law were equal in bounty but both should have been declared Yonko level threats, like how OPM assigns levels of threats to monsters and such, dragon, tiger, god, demon whatever. Imagine taking down a Yonko with another Supernova and neither of you get declared a Yonko but a clown convinces 2 extremely powerful people to join him and gets a free Yonko upgrade lmfao. To be fair, getting Mihawk on your side especially is definitely Yonko worthy) and I always felt Croc had Yonko potentia (very loosely from his current shown self), like Doflamingo too.
Luffys should have been higher because of his fruit and connections. Why does Kidd and Law get to have equal bounties but not equal titles/ranks? Is it really just a lack of a huge enough fleet/ group of allies and territories? Mihawk has been implied to be Yonko worthy from his strength alone too, so why not them?
I love his character anyway regardless, Kidd I mean, as well as Killer. I really enjoyed Killers fight and his moments vs Kaido and BM especially. Odas backstory for them he revealed recently (but sadly on in a SBS, sigh typical Oda) really made me adore and appreciate them anymore too, just as I hoped and expected I would too!
Kidd is legitmately the Vegeta of OP imo and I swear people will come to respect and appreciate him more in time, no matter how much they keep slandering him out of sheer ignorance. Kidd is that underdog who will rise up and get the glory he deserves somehow, even with all the odds and most of the world against him, hes the real endearing MC and isn't blessed to hell by plot armour and an army of allies who worship his every breath/step and thus not a walking harem magnet or w/e. Lol magnet lmfao. How ironic!
Oda purposely made Kidd fail so we could have a Moria equivalent in Luffys generation, of the Supernovas and such. Thats what I see, I see another Moria BUT Kidd wont give up that easily either. Granted he didnt lose his crew yet like Moria did, he got far luckier, especially since Kaido could have killed the 4 Supernovas when he crash landed on them or at least Kidd, Killer and Hawkins and let Apoo live for being one of his snitchy cowardly bitches (ironically he hated people like that after wha thappened with Oden, manipulative, two faced, backstabbing people yet also chose to work with Orochi for 20 years too, for unexplained reasons, damnit Kaido!).
Anyway, I've fought to defend Moria and his arc too, I find him really appealing and endearing like Kidd too, they are tragic, well written characters for the little we know about them and we should know FAR more about them but we don't sadly. Its frustrating. My rants here on Kidd recently and in the past say it all too.
One of the other main reasons Oda made Kidd fail so hard, aside from to wank off his Golden Pirate Jesus Joyboy Nika Goofy Luffy as much as possible by contrast, is that the guy who inspired Kidd from IRL, John William Kidd (Captain John of Rocks may be his father and why Kidd hates Buggy too then, especially if Buggy has found Johns treasure offscreen. Also Luffy and co took Buggys giants so its inevitable Buggy will show up at Elbaf where Kidd is and like Stampede, we're gonna have Luffy, Kidd and Buggy in the same place in a fbrutal free for all/throne war most likely.). John was extremely unlucky IRL, cursed by fate or so, shit kept going wrong for him and he was said to be incredibly unlucky/cursed I think? Just a chain reaction of diasters in his life ultimately? (So relatable too lmfao). So Oda has definitely based Kidd on what happened to him too, making him as unfortunately screwed over and cursed as John was IRL. I wouldnt be surprised if Captain John got screwed over in the story too, he was killed by his own crew in a mutiny, for being too greedy/selfish with the treasure they gained too.
You might find this an interesting read too, it really adds promise to Kidds character, whether Oda will deliver on it or not but I hope since Oda is openly aware he has wasted/neglected Kidd so far and thus admitted it and hes given Law so much screentime, development and such, hes gonna switch things up and let Kidd get the shine now:
Law was like the early game hero in a MOBA game and Kidd being the late game carry so to speak or Law is like the hare and Kidd is the tortoise? Or simply Oda is just focusing one one of them at a time and maybe Kidd will get his own on-going saga like Law did? Maybe Bonney or Vegapunk will be like the Kinemon of this saga, or even Kuma himself and Kidd could be the Law?
It also depends what Oda has in plan for Law in future and whether that Chekovs Gun of him dying with the immortality surgery is gonna happen or not or Oda is gonna make him live regardless. I know he only likes to kill off characters when its absolutely necessary and when he feels he cant do anymore with them too. Law has had major death flags but imo he was meant to die at Dressrosa and yet didn't, so he could die to BB here or to Imu or w/e in future, but I think he might end up living somehow, even if he has to do the immortality surgery. For all we know his awakening might keep him alive or some kind of plot convenience BS lol.
Idk tbh, I'm just randomly rambling too but I still have some faith for Kidd and I still adore his character despite how Oda handles him. I loved flawed, controversial, underdog characters who have to learn humility/let go of their pride, trust and rely on others and not be so stubbornly self sufficent/independent all the time. Characters like Vegeta, Piccolo maybe, Endeavour etc.
It is a real fucking mess and I'm just trying to make the most of it at this point too. Whatever we get is what we're gonna get. I waited so many years for Kidd to get his arc and I'm still waiting too. He's gonna be overshadowed by Luffy and co anyway too but also Law if hes around. But I have some faith Oda might make him shine, hell he made Capone look so awesome, badass and such when it was completely unexpected and believed to be one of the weakest supernova with no combat ability, so Oda could really surprise us too!
And tbh, given all the shit hes been through, how much the odds have been stacked against him and having mostly negative plot armour/plot anti armour even or w/e, its amazing what Kidd and Killer have achieved too. No god fruit and thus massive retcon, no right hand of the pirate king befriending and helping you, no pirate empress warlord and one of the strongest women falling in love with you, no fuck tons of allies and even kingdoms joining you and allying with you but to be fair, Luffy did earn his allies and the kingdoms support from helping and thus liberating them too ofc. His selflessness in these times despite his inherent selfishness/self centeredness is what makes him different and more successful to Kidd, as well as his sharp empathy and charm and such too.
I'm gonna believe in Kidd anyway, he did deliver in hype for me at least, I wish he could have gotten to fuck up Apoo more and got revenge on Queen and Kaido but alas! His fight with BM was very cool imo, I LOVE that he got the rail gun canonically and it was used as part of the combo to finish her off once and for all too! The giant bull and his mecha creations are so awesome and seeing his DF animated, when he forms his arm especially is so damn satisfying!
Udon should have been his personal arc and he should have gone HAM in there and in Wano with all the metal and weapon factories and such but alas once again...

Luffys should have been higher because of his fruit and connections. Why does Kidd and Law get to have equal bounties but not equal titles/ranks? Is it really just a lack of a huge enough fleet/ group of allies and territories? Mihawk has been implied to be Yonko worthy from his strength alone too, so why not them?
I love his character anyway regardless, Kidd I mean, as well as Killer. I really enjoyed Killers fight and his moments vs Kaido and BM especially. Odas backstory for them he revealed recently (but sadly on in a SBS, sigh typical Oda) really made me adore and appreciate them anymore too, just as I hoped and expected I would too!
Kidd is legitmately the Vegeta of OP imo and I swear people will come to respect and appreciate him more in time, no matter how much they keep slandering him out of sheer ignorance. Kidd is that underdog who will rise up and get the glory he deserves somehow, even with all the odds and most of the world against him, hes the real endearing MC and isn't blessed to hell by plot armour and an army of allies who worship his every breath/step and thus not a walking harem magnet or w/e. Lol magnet lmfao. How ironic!
Oda purposely made Kidd fail so we could have a Moria equivalent in Luffys generation, of the Supernovas and such. Thats what I see, I see another Moria BUT Kidd wont give up that easily either. Granted he didnt lose his crew yet like Moria did, he got far luckier, especially since Kaido could have killed the 4 Supernovas when he crash landed on them or at least Kidd, Killer and Hawkins and let Apoo live for being one of his snitchy cowardly bitches (ironically he hated people like that after wha thappened with Oden, manipulative, two faced, backstabbing people yet also chose to work with Orochi for 20 years too, for unexplained reasons, damnit Kaido!).
Anyway, I've fought to defend Moria and his arc too, I find him really appealing and endearing like Kidd too, they are tragic, well written characters for the little we know about them and we should know FAR more about them but we don't sadly. Its frustrating. My rants here on Kidd recently and in the past say it all too.
One of the other main reasons Oda made Kidd fail so hard, aside from to wank off his Golden Pirate Jesus Joyboy Nika Goofy Luffy as much as possible by contrast, is that the guy who inspired Kidd from IRL, John William Kidd (Captain John of Rocks may be his father and why Kidd hates Buggy too then, especially if Buggy has found Johns treasure offscreen. Also Luffy and co took Buggys giants so its inevitable Buggy will show up at Elbaf where Kidd is and like Stampede, we're gonna have Luffy, Kidd and Buggy in the same place in a fbrutal free for all/throne war most likely.). John was extremely unlucky IRL, cursed by fate or so, shit kept going wrong for him and he was said to be incredibly unlucky/cursed I think? Just a chain reaction of diasters in his life ultimately? (So relatable too lmfao). So Oda has definitely based Kidd on what happened to him too, making him as unfortunately screwed over and cursed as John was IRL. I wouldnt be surprised if Captain John got screwed over in the story too, he was killed by his own crew in a mutiny, for being too greedy/selfish with the treasure they gained too.
You might find this an interesting read too, it really adds promise to Kidds character, whether Oda will deliver on it or not but I hope since Oda is openly aware he has wasted/neglected Kidd so far and thus admitted it and hes given Law so much screentime, development and such, hes gonna switch things up and let Kidd get the shine now:
Law was like the early game hero in a MOBA game and Kidd being the late game carry so to speak or Law is like the hare and Kidd is the tortoise? Or simply Oda is just focusing one one of them at a time and maybe Kidd will get his own on-going saga like Law did? Maybe Bonney or Vegapunk will be like the Kinemon of this saga, or even Kuma himself and Kidd could be the Law?
It also depends what Oda has in plan for Law in future and whether that Chekovs Gun of him dying with the immortality surgery is gonna happen or not or Oda is gonna make him live regardless. I know he only likes to kill off characters when its absolutely necessary and when he feels he cant do anymore with them too. Law has had major death flags but imo he was meant to die at Dressrosa and yet didn't, so he could die to BB here or to Imu or w/e in future, but I think he might end up living somehow, even if he has to do the immortality surgery. For all we know his awakening might keep him alive or some kind of plot convenience BS lol.
Idk tbh, I'm just randomly rambling too but I still have some faith for Kidd and I still adore his character despite how Oda handles him. I loved flawed, controversial, underdog characters who have to learn humility/let go of their pride, trust and rely on others and not be so stubbornly self sufficent/independent all the time. Characters like Vegeta, Piccolo maybe, Endeavour etc.
It is a real fucking mess and I'm just trying to make the most of it at this point too. Whatever we get is what we're gonna get. I waited so many years for Kidd to get his arc and I'm still waiting too. He's gonna be overshadowed by Luffy and co anyway too but also Law if hes around. But I have some faith Oda might make him shine, hell he made Capone look so awesome, badass and such when it was completely unexpected and believed to be one of the weakest supernova with no combat ability, so Oda could really surprise us too!
And tbh, given all the shit hes been through, how much the odds have been stacked against him and having mostly negative plot armour/plot anti armour even or w/e, its amazing what Kidd and Killer have achieved too. No god fruit and thus massive retcon, no right hand of the pirate king befriending and helping you, no pirate empress warlord and one of the strongest women falling in love with you, no fuck tons of allies and even kingdoms joining you and allying with you but to be fair, Luffy did earn his allies and the kingdoms support from helping and thus liberating them too ofc. His selflessness in these times despite his inherent selfishness/self centeredness is what makes him different and more successful to Kidd, as well as his sharp empathy and charm and such too.
I'm gonna believe in Kidd anyway, he did deliver in hype for me at least, I wish he could have gotten to fuck up Apoo more and got revenge on Queen and Kaido but alas! His fight with BM was very cool imo, I LOVE that he got the rail gun canonically and it was used as part of the combo to finish her off once and for all too! The giant bull and his mecha creations are so awesome and seeing his DF animated, when he forms his arm especially is so damn satisfying!
Udon should have been his personal arc and he should have gone HAM in there and in Wano with all the metal and weapon factories and such but alas once again...

Yeah man in all seriousness, it feels like how Oda writes Sanji and Zoro but Zoro is the unlucky one in this situation so to speak. The neglected one, the wasted potential etc. I'm giving Oda a chance since he brought back Kidd and sent him to Elbaf too of all places but I'm not letting him destroy my long built up hopes as much as he did before either. This is before WCI and Wano Sanji too. Lmao thank you man, I was worried about the length and how incoherent it probably was and such. Kidd really reminds me of my childhood too, loving robots and magnets and even studying Physics because of my interests in that as well as other stuff like Forces and Motion, Electricity, Light, Explosions and thus Energy etc lol. Also growing up on stuff like Megas XLR, Power Rangers ofc, Robot Wars, X-Men and such.
This might not be surprising too ofc, but this is also why I love Franky and Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann too naturally! Sadly I never got into Gundam ironically, I was meant to check out The Big O too but never did, maybe I should have gotten into Neon Genesis Evangelion and definitely should have gone for Darling In The Franxxx too! (Kidding)
This also ties in to why I love Zoro and Sanji so much but god knows I've written far too much now, not 1 but 2 essays and I dont need to write anymore, especially as I will write essays about these characters and such, especially Sanji and Zoro too LMFAO!
For all my complaints, whining, criticisms etc, One Piece is still the best, theres nothing quite like it. Theres so much to love to it, so much variety like nothing else, so much adventure, imagination, creativity, weirdness etc! Jojo is the series that comes closest to it next after it imo and something like Avatar the Last Airbender too!
Outcast characters, rebels with a cause are fascinating to me too. For those who know Borderlands, Kidd kinda reminds me of Gaige who I also LOVE immensely lol. Dont even get me started on Gaige, we'll have another colossal essay here lmfao! He also reminds me of Jinx and Vi from League of Legends who I also really love, especially Jinx unsurprisingly and a bit of Joker and Harley Quinn too. A bit of Iron Man as well or so.
Outliers can be such fascinating characters if written right and One Piece is full of them too, which is what makes it so great too. Such unconventional, unusual, bold etc characters, much like Jojo and some of Bleach's too for example, which is why I love those series too.
Also being a rock and metalhead somewhat myself (very casual/mainstream tastes but still very passionate), its natural I would love a punk/rock/metal themed crew ofc!
It was either earlier in this thread or in the Kidd FC I think, I mentioned how Alestorm is the perfect band for him and his crew as they are a Scottish Pirate Metal band! Genuinely! And Kidd is Scottish according to Oda too! A truly fiery, rebellious Scottish redhead, born and bred LMAO! Scots are some truly fiesty bastards/bitches or lads and lassies even, I can attest to that too from knowing my Scottish ex a LONG time ago too hahaha!

Feels like a metaphor for his life and how Oda has written him but also his relentless persistence against overwhelming, unfair, helpless odds and thus never giving up either! Just adapting and surviving, even conquering somehow, bit by bit and ascending to the very top gradually!
Godamn I really rambled on and made another essay anyway LMFAO! I just cant help it, I'm so passionate about this topic, about Kidd and his crew and the other things I mentioned there ofc lol.
Deep down, this is what I grew up admiring, idolising and wanting to be like. People who never give up no matter how bleak, unfair, overwhelming their cirumstances and odds are, are extremely personal, relatable, inspiring etc for me, they give me courage to never give up even if I feel like there is no hope for me at all. If they can pull through MUCH worser situations, then so can I! Its just a matter of will really, like what One Piece is about too ofc! Manifesting fate through your own will/ambitions, mind over matter, conquering your own destiny!
Outliers can be such fascinating characters if written right and One Piece is full of them too, which is what makes it so great too. Such unconventional, unusual, bold etc characters, much like Jojo and some of Bleach's too for example, which is why I love those series too.
Also being a rock and metalhead somewhat myself (very casual/mainstream tastes but still very passionate), its natural I would love a punk/rock/metal themed crew ofc!
It was either earlier in this thread or in the Kidd FC I think, I mentioned how Alestorm is the perfect band for him and his crew as they are a Scottish Pirate Metal band! Genuinely! And Kidd is Scottish according to Oda too! A truly fiery, rebellious Scottish redhead, born and bred LMAO! Scots are some truly fiesty bastards/bitches or lads and lassies even, I can attest to that too from knowing my Scottish ex a LONG time ago too hahaha!
I actually think Iron Maiden really suit Kidd and his crew a lot too, especially songs like Blood Brothers too:
Granted you could associate him and Killer with a bunch of different rock and especially metal bands ofc! Slipknot and Killswitch Engage come to mind, Korn too even. Hell, even Rammstein potentially!
Theres also another band I really adore who remind me of Kidd and his crew, especially the lead singer, who dresses/looks like him sort of?:
Their music is a lot "softer" but it has so much character/personality, charm/whimsy, variety, heart and soul, authenticity etc that it really suits them too and its just immensely enjoyably imo!
My favourite song by them Captain Ulysses, actually suits Kidd really well too to think of it!:

This might not be surprising too ofc, but this is also why I love Franky and Tengen Toppa Gurenn Lagann too naturally! Sadly I never got into Gundam ironically, I was meant to check out The Big O too but never did, maybe I should have gotten into Neon Genesis Evangelion and definitely should have gone for Darling In The Franxxx too! (Kidding)
This also ties in to why I love Zoro and Sanji so much but god knows I've written far too much now, not 1 but 2 essays and I dont need to write anymore, especially as I will write essays about these characters and such, especially Sanji and Zoro too LMFAO!
For all my complaints, whining, criticisms etc, One Piece is still the best, theres nothing quite like it. Theres so much to love to it, so much variety like nothing else, so much adventure, imagination, creativity, weirdness etc! Jojo is the series that comes closest to it next after it imo and something like Avatar the Last Airbender too!

It can't be for the anime episode and it's too random for anything else. Just a gif like this is usually a hint too.
Lance was here too earlier, didn't say anything AFAIK but maybe Redon did get spoilers earlier than we expected? But may not reveal them until usual time next week?
There were "unconfirmed" spoilers going around that came out even before he posted gif I believe and they could match the hint. Lilith firing a weapon at CP0 which could be anything but given her Zero-Suit Samus style suit and that she most likely has blonde hair like Samus, it fits just a little too well?
Or it could just be Franky ofc? Or even Luffy does an attack like this somehow with Gear 5th? Or maybe Stussy? I would say most likely one of the Vegapunks, especially Lilith though.
We'll just have to wait and see I guess.
