Tbh Itachi is incredibly fast and versatile in how he can dispose of the Pein’s. He has the toolkit to take Pein down in an ideal battle. It’s definitely close.

What makes me put Itachi > Pein is the fact Zetsu has multiple freak outs over an underperforming Itachi and calls him invincible, not an hour after seeing Jiraiya’s fight against Pein.

Depends how Itachi starts the fight. If he can dispose of the revive + ninjutsu absorbing pain he has a good shot with Genjutsu.

By making BB crewmates a bunch of useless jobbers before even facing the SHs, he makes sure fans will enjoy the fights without crying about plot

Even worse when you realize Choppers big fight is likely just against a sick horse lmao

Probably not, because Nagato wasn’t trapped in the toad song genjutsu despite his Pein’s hearing it. So genjutsu on the paths seem like a body to body type of deal

exactly its hearing. eye genjutsu might be different

Jiraiya only wins due to summons against Kisame. Other than that I don't see how he beats Kisame. Maybe the swamp jutsu can also help
