And Koby can easily be justified to have build up.
Every time we saw him he was measuring up to luffy. saying how he doesn't want to lag behind, become an admiral, etc.

But, as I've said, you don't HAVE TO like the character all of sudden just because he MIGHT have gotten a new PU that, for now, is nothing but rumor.

But I like koby. I just hate when oda turns him to oden, a forced character to the readers

Yes he grew well. However, when oda has introduced Coby pre timeskip twice and both times he got one shot by base luffy really isn’t promising.

Then when Coby returns he immediately gets captured. Like oda has treated Coby horribly throughout the series.

let me explain it to you like All Might does to Bakugo.

Luffy was lvl 50 and Koby was lvl 1 during Morgan's arc.

Luffy was lvl 70 and Koby was lvl 51 during post-EL.

Know what I mean?
