People are confusing the impact of a big story moment for the quality of a character introduction.

Imu has literally no characterization besides being a big evil guy that talks like a scrub tier danish king in a Shakespeare novel
Characterization is not equal to a good introduction Kinyagi. Your character's intro can serve as a gateway for good characterization but every character serves different purposes. For what Imu is currently in the story his introduction was great.

Imu Sama intro is great, but is not the best one. Its that kind of intro of the big evil mastermind who fool everyone of his existence. Kaido and Blackbeard intro was more creative

Dont get me wrong oda trying to foll the reader making us think no one sit on the throne was great
Crazy to say, Kaido's intro is probably his best scene.

Characterization is literally paramount to a CHARACTER INTRODUCTION, we aren’t ranking story moments here.
This is like ordering fish in the middle of Kansas and getting upset it's not fresh.
