JJK is in its final climax, the anime just finished the best arc in JJK as well. It makes sense the anime increased manga sales as people would want to read on and now find out how it ends.
Meanwhile the OP live actions main job was to appeal to western audiences, and western countries like America and Canada have the highest traffic to illegal streaming and pirating sites so it makes sense why it didn’t drastically increase sales when many new fans would just pirate the manga if they wanted to read it.
