I have to congratulate Oda; he indeed made a tremendous effort to make the defeat of the WSC believable to the audience. Carrying an island, enduring hundreds or even thousands of attacks, having him fight against 20 people while gradually forcing Kaido to use his set of skills as the main character progressed in power, eventually defeating him 3 to 4 times and even killing him, only to finally deliver Joyboy at the peak of his power with all Haki mastered against Kaido, who, even in his last moments and while kneeling, was still dominating the fight. Oda indeed proved that Kaido is a challenging anomaly for any writer to have him lose; it took not only hundreds of attacks but also a punch the size of an island with a DC at what level?
