Frankly, I don't think Togashi thought too much about scenarios and whatever. One thing that I'm sure about him is that he is lazy but smart as fuck. He is just covering his own ass.
IF people like it he will claim that is the scenario A,if not scenario B or C. His fans will eat it up and he will get max benefits without much effort. And that is if he even finish the manga. This scenario D will be the ''end'' if nothing happens or if he gets too lazy to continue.
