tbf, i think it wasn't even his decision to start Boruto

he tried his own thing with Samurai8, but that flopped (i liked the art though, shit looked cool)

he was just the surpervisor in name for Boruto, it had it's own writer and artist

then once the drama hit for the writer, he left and Kishimoto took over, since Samurai8 was dead

and then Kishimoto did some wild shit
