That's what I think is possible even if I don't like it, that reason why Oda had Loki get fucked up badly while defenseless and weakened is to nerf him once free so we don't get to see his full power this arc. (There are chances he will be involved in the final war as an ally)

- the mystery man is Scopper Gaban, Compass of the Pirate King
- he has long grey hair and a burn scar in his face, we learn he got this scar from Akainu sometime after the Roger Pirates disbanded
- his goal is to keep one of the Road Poneglyph hidden, to make sure no one gets to Laugh Tale, but for Monkey D Luffy he will make an exception, just like how he did for his dad years ago
- a flashblack starts
- in the flashback we see Dragon as a marine and he is hunting down Gaban together with Akainu
