I like how that line barely ties into what he said directly before it anyway
Feels like Oda just made him say it to suck Kaido's cock
It's possible that I'm making excuses for Aramaki here, but I don't think he was portraying himself as physically inferior to Kaido with line.

Aramaki seems to echo Akainu's desire for order; he seems to believe in hierarchies and the "rule of the strong" .

By his own twisted logic, he sees Kaido as a fellow strong person who earned the right to lord over Wano, and he's invading it because he thinks he can take it while Luffy is recovering and weakened.

Basically he scorns the Wano people because he thinks none of them are strong enough to reign over Wano like Kaido, so he wants to earn that for his top dogs (CDs and Akainu).

Aside from that, there's also my crackpot theory that GB and Fuji are secretly working against the WG, with GB pretending to be the "bad cop".

So per that idea, GB purposefully head out to Wano just to piss off the people who took down Kaido, so as to cause the WG more problems, and made sure to show approval of Kaido specifically to piss them off more.

It´s not ¨excuses¨. The point of the scene is he is flipping on the morals of the arc on it´s head.
For 10000000000 chapters, Oden is the greatest man who ever existed ever and turned Water into wine, so of course his plan of opening Wano´s borders and connecting with the world was the right one? Kaido is the bastard who killed him and wants nothing more then to bully farmers in Wano all day. Luckily, the scabards are sent into the fucking future/imprisoned, and after decades of struggling just to face Kaido, some jackass comes in and is like, no Kaido was protecting you guys.

And afterwards, Yamato decides to stay in Wano, and while Momo already planned to keep the borders closed, it does help show everyone that the outside world is not sunshines and rainbows, and in some ways living under a dictatorship may have had it´s benefits. Lol

He was definitely scared of Kaido but I like this theory honestly
